The B&B is located in the pedestrian zone and therefore cars are only allowed to access the hotel for loading/unloading baggage. The free parking area is just a 10 minute walk from the B&B while the private covered parking garage partnered with the B&B is around a 15 minute walk.

Guest House San Frediano is a great starting point for visiting the historic centre of Lucca. Nearby you will find: The Basilica of San Frediano which is one of the oldest churches in Lucca. Here is where the procession of the Holy Cross unfolds on 13 September, and here lies the earthly remains of Saint Zita. Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, which can be reached from Via Fillungo, was built over the remnants of the ancient Roman amphitheatre (second century A.D.). San Michele church located in Piazza San Michele is built where the ancient Roman Forum once stood, and for this reason it is also called "in foro" (in the forum). This elegant square surrounded by imposing buildings, such as Palazzo Pretorio, is a meeting point in Lucca. Giacomo Puccini’s Birthplace museum is the house where the last musician (1858-1924) of a family that once dominated the musical life of Lucca, was born.

Well known tourism destinations are located a few kilometers away and they can be reached by train and bus services. Beautiful Versilia has well equipped bathing establishments, elegant restaurants and famous clubs while the green Garfagnana landscape offers a wide variety of views ranging from mountain terrain to gentle hills, with ancient towns steeped in local tradition.

BY CAR
From the A11 Lucca Est Autostrada highway exit, take Viale Europa and continue until reaching the roundabout. Take the second exit, Viale Giosuè Carducci, and continue on the ring road until reaching the large roundabout, Piazzale Martiri della Libertà. Ease to the right and enter the Mura Urbane wall. After reaching Piazza Santa Maria, turn right and continue on Via della Cavallerizza until reaching Piazza San Frediano. Skirt the Basilica and turn left on Via Cesare Battisti. Continue for around 100 meters before turning left on Via degli Angeli. After around 50 meters you will reach number 19, Guest House San Frediano.

BY TRAIN
Exit the Lucca station and walk down Viale Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour for around 200 meters before turning right into Piazzale del Risorgimento. Cross the square and enter the Mura Urbane walls from the Porta San Pietro gate. Take Via San Girolamo until reaching Piazza Napoleone, then continue on Via Beccheria and turn right on Via Roma. Take Via Fillungo until reaching the intersection with Via degli Angeli. Take a left and continue for around 60 meters until reaching Guest House San Frediano.
